IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 40 years, and manages and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health, and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Baluchistan, and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary:

The position will be responsible for providing support to Afghan refugees living in urban areas in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a particular focus on education-related issues. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating with concerned stakeholders to provide access to education facilities and resources for the refugees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with education service providers, schools, and other institutions to ensure that the refugees have access to quality education services.
  • Conduct mapping /assessments of the education needs of refugees and develop activity plan to support education needs/ programs accordingly.
  • Propose programs/activities for urban refugees, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
  • Provide guidance and support, referrals to refugees on accessing education services and facilities.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of the education programs to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of education-related activities and services provided.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to advocate on education needs of refugees and improve access to education services.
  • Prepare monthly report and submit it to CAR KP via the district administrators' office and IRC office
  • Any other task assigned.

Qualification

The applicant should hold a minimum of a university degree preferably in Social Work, Social Sciences or MPH.

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in education related projects, referral services and with referral networks (Previous working experience of International I/NGO / similar set up is preferred)

Skills:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Pashto.
  • Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to work discretely and professionally with sensitive and confidential information.
