  • Job Overview/Summary: IRC Pakistan will be implementing five years “leveraging Inclusive WASH for Empowerment in Pakistan (LIFE-Pakistan) project i.e.
  • Water For Women Fund supported by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australian government.
  • With an overall goal of gender equitable and socially inclusive WASH services for improved health conditions of marginalized groups, this project aims to directly improve the lives of 168,000 beneficiaries in 75 villages in three districts of KP, Pakistan.

The project will reach its goal through three pillars:

  • Inclusive community level WASH
  • Improved WASH governance
  •  Strengthened decision making around WASH
  • The project will focus on schools and health centers that serve communities, as well as community and household WASH.
  • A process of participatory training and discussion will be utilized to strengthen women’s role in the community and will be supported with life skills training and gender protection programming.
  • Knowledge management and learning through ongoing monitoring, periodic evaluations and research will keep the project on track, provide evidence for advocacy for improving legislative environment, and draw learning for future programming.

Major Responsibilities:

Information Management:

  • Support KML Manager in designing, developing, managing, and maintaining EH information management system.
  • To work in coordination with all managers and staff to collect data and prepare updates/reports.
  • Work closely with MEAL and field team to generate qualitative updates and reports for internal and external use on monthly and/or periodic basis as per project requirements
  • To store, coordinate and supply secure data/record and statistics in accordance with the policy for smooth implementation of project.

Sep 2021

  • To assist the line Manager in the delivery of promotional and publicity material and information for the partners.
  • Able to identify and Assemble change process in the field and document as Human/most significant change stories.

Learning & Research:

  • To document evidence, as well as develop and identify new and innovative ways to improve policy and practice.
  • Support the Implementation of results of improved WASH policies and practice through learning and reflective practice, flexible programming and sharing of knowledge
  • Support staff skills enhancement to systematically apply interventions in the “Basic Package” under LIFE-Pakistan.
  •  Measurement of progress over time against various key WASH performance indicators for trend tracking and providing information relevant to current policies and plans.
  •  To help adoption of “WASH community graduation” approach by implementing/sector partners and its standardized application.
  • Ensuring effective information flows within the project team.
  • Supporting Knowledge & Learning Manager in undertaking research using appropriate tools with the aim of providing information and analysis on policy issues and its development.

Documentation, Communication and Reporting

  •  Ensure the preparation of monthly, bi-monthly, and six-monthly project reports as per IRC and Donor requirements.
  •  Ensure the monthly and quarterly PIM & PLM meetings are conducted and documented internally and with Country Office.
  • Ensure that proper support is provided to IRC and its partners in reviewing communication products, and success stories.
  • Management of quantitative data and developing information products for decision making.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s Degree i n Journalism, Mass Communication, or any other relevant field from a recognized University

Work Experience:

  •  Minimum of 03 years progressive relevant work experience in Knowledge management, and over all 5 years in the humanitarian sector on reporting, data management and communication products preferably with INGOs
  • Proven expertise in information management and research element that have met targets on time and within budget
  •  Demonstrated experience in leading Inclusive WASH professional development programs
  • Experience in training, capacity building and team building of staff
  • Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  •  Demonstrated understanding of WASH project design, management, and implementation
