Job Summary:

Based in Ghotki, the MEAL Manager is responsible to perform and manage all the M&E and research related activities under the supervision of the Ethics and Compliance/MEAL Coordinator, with a specific focus on the Cash Digitization R&D project, involving regular field visits to program sites in Sindh.

The MEAL Manager is responsible for planning and implementing monitoring, verification and research tasks, and for supporting the program teams to effectively and efficiently use standard tools, systems and procedures related to research, monitoring the project activities and ensuring data quality for all such activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise and implement appropriate and high quality participatory monitoring and verification of program activities implemented by IRC in collaboration with project teams and the Ethics and Compliance/MEAL Coordinator, according to recognized standards, systems and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to project teams to ensure development and use of planning, implementation and management tools, including (but not limited to) work plans, performance monitoring plans, input/output/progress tracking.
  • Lead the proper implementation and quality of beneficiary feedback and complaints systems in the target locations/ sites in the district according to guidelines, investigating and referring complaints according to established procedures.
  • Assist with the development of appropriate formats, tools and systems for monitoring and evaluating programs, assuring quality and managing data according to internal and international standards.
  • Assist with the development and roll out of appropriate research methodologies, tools and plans in line with the requirements of the Cash Digitization R&D project, assuring quality and managing data according to internal and international standards.
  • Build the capacity of project’s staff vis a vis effective and efficient research and monitoring activities, use of M&E tools, and storage/ management & analysis of data.
  • Facilitate and support in collection and dissemination of high quality information for internal reports, program management, communications and other IRC departments, including case studies and donor report information.
  • Carry out other such tasks as assigned by supervisor.
