IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 40 years, and manages and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health, and livelihoods for displaced, poor, and disaster-affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and is currently present in 4 provinces including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the newly Merged Districts of KP – Ex Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

Job Overview/Summary:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual for the position of MIS Officer for a five-year USAID-funded Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Project in selected districts of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Newley Merged Districts along with CNIC registration across Pakistan. The project focusses on implementing interventions“To promote women's social and economic empowerment through safe and dignified access to livelihoods opportunities, information, resources and services”. These interventions will stimulate women’s economic and social empowerment and prepare foundation for integrating intervention to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV).   In coordination with respective Implementing Partners, the MIS Officer reports to the MIS Manager of WEE Project. The MIS Officer will assist MIS Manager in project information management system (PMIS) development, integration, testing and deployment of it.

Major Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and support MIS manager in development of web-based real time Project Management Information System (PMIS)
• Facilitate and support in developing relational database (RDBMS), stored procedures, views, functions, and other queries to manipulate datasets
• Support in writing client-side codes/scripts to introduce series of data quality assurance including masking, validation, and duplication prevention
• Facilitate in preparation of Technical documentation and user guide for developed PMIS
• Support for safeguarding data, back-up, manage testing, trouble shooting and other web server management
• Facilitate MIS Manger in training WEE staff, implementing partners staff for using PMIS data and its users from time to time assistance.
• Support in the development of analytical modules of IS dashboard, this includes coding & testing of scripts, integration of UI components, retrieve aggregate level data through queries to populate graphs, and web reports.
• To manage necessary installation and updates of software at Windows based server side and support for pilot testing of application and developed functions/modules and document comments and report test results

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science/Software engineering/Information technology.

Experience/Skills:

• Proven work experience of 2-3 years as a Software Programmer/Engineer/Developer
• Ability to develop web applications and website in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery, latest dot net technologies, SQL Server
• Must have working experience of MVC framework. Preferred working experience of CodeIgniter and Bootstrap themes to incorporate them in the application modules.
• Managing database, writing queries, views, functions, and triggers

Language Skills:  English, Urdui
