IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 30 years, and manages & delivers large, complex programs to meet needs in health, education, protection, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor & conflict-affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary:The intern will be involved in performing day to day activities of the organization, in order to develop different skills which can help the incumbent in their future jobs. The intern will be provided with an acquaintance of current projects/programs and organization’s different departments in its programme area.

IRC will offer opportunities to the intern to learn; report writing skills, understanding of projects and programme, monitoring of projects, communication and its protocols and other areas of work related to non-profit sector.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist  Senior Project Manager in collecting preliminary and secondary data & information for different reports, external communication and presentations
  • Assists  in communication products like reporting, meeting minutes and other communication related tasks 
  • Coordinate with participants and make arrangements for program review meetings 
  • Be a proactive part of trainings, seminars and workshops either arranged by the organization or its partner(s)
  • Review different documents assigned by line manager.
  • Support Program Unit in performing different administrative tasks, when required
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor or colleague in Program team

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors or Master degree in management, communication field or social sciences.

Work Experience:

  • No previous experience required. Understanding of the non-profit sector will be a plus

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of  software (Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint),
  • Good skills of extracting relevant information from Internet
  • Good in communication and analytical skills
  • Team worker with flexibility;

Language Skills: 

  • Strong English language skills both written and oral;
