IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 30 years, and manages and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces.
Job Overview/Summary : Senior Program officer will ensure effective and efficient coordination and facilitation of the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of SV funded Increasing Employability of afghan Refugee Youth through Development of Marketable Skills, and improving literacy and Numeracy Skills of Schools-Aged Children” Project on Skills Development and Education.
Responsibilities:
1. To provide technical input as required for the design of the project and work closely in a productive way with counterparts for the implementation of the project
2. To ensure that narrative reporting and other donor requirements are met in line with IRC Pakistan policies and routing procedures
3. Establish strong linkages with Government to ensure best possible government relations with Government TVETs.
4. To coordinate the planning, implementation and monitoring of program activities, including field visits, according to the approved project proposals
5. Where possible, participate in the district/province level coordination forums along with local partners.
6. Analyze and develop a gender sensitive database of activities and beneficiaries implemented by the Project
7. Facilitate partners in documenting lesson learned, best practices, and improve quality of their distribution plans and coordination at field level.
8. To prepare stories or input for any other written materials for external communication on the program
9. To ensure that the (digital) archiving of the project activities is correctly done and maintained
10. Provide support to the trained youth for self-employment (Link with MFI and Business Development Support Service providers).
11. With the support of local partner and technical resource person design employment/tool kit for trained beneficiaries, and also maintained close coordination with supply chain department for timely procurement of tool kits
12. Ensure the preparation of weekly, monthly project reports
