Since 2013, the IRC in Pakistan has expanded its mandate to include a focus on recovery and development, securing a number of larger-scale and longer-term projects in education, protection, health, environmental health and livelihoods

 Internship Summary:

The Supply Chain Intern learns through practical work and assists in the implementation of IRC’s supply chain system, policies and procedures for the management of Country Office.

Responsibilities:

1.       Assist in supply chain filing.

2.       Help and learn daily entries, and prepare reports on the following.

  • Maintenance of vehicles Data-Base
  • Fuel Data-Base
  • Purchase Request tracking Data-Base

3.       Assist in preparing procurement documents and files.

4.       Assist in processing the procurement documents to finance section for payment.

5.       Manual (hand writing) entries in asset register.

6.       Correspondence and filing of documents from/to the field offices.

7.       Photocopy and distribution of the documents as and when required.  Help to ensure that photocopy machines are maintained and used properly. 

8.       Assist in physical inventory verification (office and warehouse)

9.       Participate in professional training and development activities, as needed or requested.

10.   Perform other duties, as needed or requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Fresh University Graduate in Business Administration or Equivalent

a)   Languages:

·         Strong communication skills in English, Urdu

b)  Skills and Competencies:

·         Ability to deal effectively and patiently with staff.

·         Sound knowledge of MS-Office package.

·         Good Handwriting
