Responsibilities:

As a Manager, Public Health APAC (Pakistan), you will be responsible for providing public health subject matter expertise for conducting business needs assessment, developing concepts and project delivery within the Public Health team, and will be based in Pakistan.

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Leveraging global health and public policy experience and acumen to develop strategies and concepts for global health donor organizations, governments and private sector clients

·         Assisting with public health strategy development, facilitating business opportunities, setting up and presenting at meetings (with global health donor organizations and governments), proposal writing for untapped client segments in global health and providing subject matter expertise on public health topics,

·         Applying both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research to identify public health issues and develop solutions and insights

·         Working independently and as part of the Public Health team and Pakistan local office

·         Developing broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and public health context through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities

·         Engaging in knowledge management to document projects and support standardization of processes

Essential Experience, Skills and Education Required:                                                                              

Candidates interested in joining the Public Health APAC team as a Manager in Pakistan will need to demonstrate:

·         Familiarity with global health, including key issues, stakeholders and current developments

·         A strong academic track record with a relevant graduate degree in public health, life sciences, economics/business, and/or 7 - 10 years relevant experience in the health care industry

·         Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly, think creatively and apply new knowledge in technical fields

·         Excellent interpersonal and project management skills to work effectively with others in and across a large matrix organization to accomplish team goals

·         Previous experience within healthcare industry in both qualitative and quantitative project management as well as stakeholder management skill will be advantageous

·         Proven analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills

·         Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including story-boarding for powerpoint presentations, facilitating meetings and workshops, and report writing

·         Strong capability in juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes

·         Be a self-starter who thrives in a client-focused, international team environment

·         Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral); additional languages an advantage

·         A willingness and ability to travel (mostly within Pakistan), candidate is willing to travel Karachi for a week or so every month if need arises

·         As a start, the candidate can be based in Karachi to get to know the IQVIA Pakistan team, but can opt for a remote working in Islamabad to engage with public health stakeholders, as needed.
