Duties & Responsibilities;

Working closely with the Communication team and Area Office team to ensure smooth delivery of all required communications and media related activities.

Externally to manage relationships with media personnel, and representatives from other organizations organization has partnerships with in regards to media and communications work.

The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for:

  • Develop good quality content for stories and case studies
  • Quality, tagged Photographs of activities.
  • Capturing of ongoing activities at the field, district level.
  • Monthly updates on communications & visibility related and other sector project activities.
  • Provide project-based inputs for social media platforms.
  • Development of reports, publications and all informational and promotional products.
  • Development of IEC material according to donor and organization standards.
  • Maintain project activities photo gallery (Before, during and after. To promote the image of organization to media groups via “awareness” campaigns.
  • To coordinate ceremonies, and press conferences and plan, host special media and public events or specials projects.
  • Support the development and dissemination of public awareness campaign materials and information.  
  • To handle assigned tasks of communication including internal and external to build bridge with organizations, partners, donors and all stake holders.
  • To plan and direct advertising, public relations and promotional campaigns and strategies.
  • Record keeping of all the events organized, press releases etc.

Public Relations / Media

  • Support the PR/Media team in the development of constructive working relationships with media representatives to build international and public profile and ensure positive coverage and the timely provision of situation reports and fundraising material to Organization.

Safety and Security

  • Liaise with the local supply chain officer to ensure compliance with the organization’s Security Guidelines and their effective application in the local context;
  • Monitor the operational environment with respect to an increased level of threat and advise the District Coordinator/SPO/PC and Organization’s Security Officer/Security Focal person.
  • Follow the appropriate communications means to meet operational and security requirements;

Administration

  • Ensure that administrative support functions are supported in accordance with Organization’s administrative policies and procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with country legal, contractual, labor and statutory requirements.

Financial Management and Planning

  • Ensure with the Finance department, the maintenance of the Organization’s financial protocols and accounting systems for all field interventions.

 Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero tolerance policy towards SEAH and doesn’t support any action that promote or encourage SEAH.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications (Bullet Points)

  • Knowledge of current affairs
  • Knowledge of marketing and media
  • Knowledge of impression management.
  • High level of proficiency in English and Urdu
  • Excellent photography and videography skills
  • Web management skills, content writing for social media /press release development skills, graphic designing skills
  • Experienced in Newsletter/Publications/Annual reports development, Documentary production etc.

 

Computer/other Skills:

  • The candidate shall be computer literate and having good skills of MS office, MS excel and power point.
  • Motivation and skill enhancement (capacity development) of communities to increase their income level
  • Social mobilization for replication of the on-farm demonstrated techniques
  • Arrangement for  various training events of efficient techniques in different growing stages of crops
  • Good interpersonal skill

Language:

  •   Urdu, English and local languages
  • Pashto language and tribal Pashto language will be an additional asset
