We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dessert Cook to join our dynamic team at Ta'am Ul Khaas (Middle-east Cuisine), a Project of ISMMART Group of Industries. As an Arabic Dessert Cook, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a variety of tantalizing desserts that showcase your culinary expertise. If you have a flair for dessert preparation, an eye for presentation, and a passion for culinary innovation, we would love to hear from you.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a dessert cook or pastry chef, preferably in a high-end restaurant, bakery, or pastry shop.
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, pies, tarts, mousses, ice creams, and other sweet treats.
- Strong knowledge of dessert ingredients, flavors, and techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating.
- Ability to consistently produce desserts of exceptional quality and taste, maintaining high standards in taste, texture, and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update dessert menus that complement the overall dining experience and meet guests' expectations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple dessert orders simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient preparation.
- Efficiently plan and prioritize tasks to meet service demands, including prepping ingredients, baking, assembling, and plating desserts.
- Maintain a clean and organized dessert station, following proper food safety and sanitation practices.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert preparation with the overall meal service, ensuring seamless timing and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to accommodate special guest requests and provide dessert recommendations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
- Formal culinary training or a culinary degree in pastry arts or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications or awards in pastry arts or dessert preparation would be an advantage.
