The company is seeking skilled AI professionals to develop intelligent tools, automate workflows, and enhance both customer experience and internal operations. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be a key contributor in managing and supporting Careem’s IT systems and network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, and support IT infrastructure services including voice and data networks, MPLS, DPLC, wireless, and multi-site mesh networks.
- Monitor and maintain network layers 1 through 7, providing comprehensive end-to-end support.
- Design and implement new network solutions or optimize existing infrastructure for improved performance.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, SASE gateways, firewalls, WAN accelerators, aggregators, and wireless access points.
- Manage escalated incidents from the IT Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution and communication within SLA targets.
- Oversee infrastructure changes with controlled, auditable processes, contributing to projects and ongoing improvements.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend enhancements.
- Document network infrastructure thoroughly, including hardware/software inventories and network diagrams.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, coordinate resolution efforts, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Provide 24x7 second-line support and escalation services.
- Approve new systems or changes for release and conduct service reviews with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Identify and resolve single points of failure within the infrastructure.
- Support project teams with infrastructure-related changes and implementations.
- Communicate effectively with management and deliver clear, well-organized presentations.
- Handle sensitive or complex information with discretion and escalate issues appropriately.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in roles such as IT Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Network Administrator supporting organizations with 1,000+ users.
- Strong expertise in datacenter management, unified communications, LAN/WAN/Wireless networks, virtualization, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience with routing, switching, MPLS, firewalls, SASE networks, VPN technologies, and system monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with VMware ESX, vCenter, and major virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems, VoIP telephony, and voice infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of IT security tools, information governance, application programming basics, databases, and system design.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, MCITP, AWS/Azure certifications, Security+, and ITIL are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with next-generation firewalls, mobile device management (MDM), virtualization technologies (VMware, AWS), Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and SASE solutions.
- Knowledge of heterogeneous network environments and administration of platforms like Zscaler, JumpCloud, Sonus voice gateways, Genesis call center on-premises solutions, Cisco Meraki, and Orange MPLS.
