The Lady Dufferin Hospital, one of Pakistan’s largest women’s healthcare facilities with 300 beds, specializes in Obstetric, Gynecological, and Neonatal Pediatric care. We are looking for a skilled IT Officer to join our team and support the hospital’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and proven experience in troubleshooting a variety of IT equipment and systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT services within the hospital, enabling staff to deliver uninterrupted healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, network systems, printers, and CCTV equipment.
- Maintain and ensure the optimal functioning of all IT hardware and software across the hospital premises.
- Provide prompt technical support to hospital staff to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Monitor network connectivity and enforce security protocols to safeguard hospital data and systems.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of IT equipment and software applications.
- Collaborate with various hospital departments to understand their IT requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Keep accurate records of IT assets, service requests, and maintenance activities to ensure proper documentation and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, network infrastructure, printers, and CCTV systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with hospital staff, management, and external vendors.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi. Candidates must be able to commute reliably or be willing to relocate to Karachi before starting employment. The role demands a proactive approach to IT support, ensuring immediate response to technical issues within the hospital environment.
