WLC is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their team, reporting directly to the Manager of IT. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure within an organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users, and assisting with network maintenance. This position requires hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic IT environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking systems.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support the deployment of new technologies and upgrades as directed by the IT Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement best practices and improve service delivery.
- Respond promptly to IT service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist with backup and recovery operations to safeguard organizational data.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and common software applications.
- Experience with network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with IT security principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are highly desirable.
