About The Job
The engineering team at IT22 is looking for a proactive and dynamic Cloud Engineer to join our diverse team of engineers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with software developers, system operators, and other engineering team members to manage code releases. The Cloud Engineer will be working to cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing, and operations teams, and keep existing networks in mind as these are designed, planned, and tested.
Your Responsibilities:
- Setup and enhance CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment).
- Configure the company's products to meet the functional requirements including the configuration of functional areas and technical areas (e.g. integration interfaces, integration maps, web services, transport protocols, etc).
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the integration, and operations of the infrastructure and systems.
- Ensure high availability of the company’s products, and platforms [24x7x365] including but not limited to messaging, voice, and e-mail gateways, in addition to assessing emergencies, providing analysis, and recommending solutions.
- Write and deploy scripts in different environments to automate day-to-day operations.
- Maintain servers’ configuration, monitoring jobs, and infrastructure documentation across the cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Work extensively with the offshore teams and network of partners on a daily basis.
- Working with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
- Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications.
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Lead and develop best practices for the larger cloud engineering team.
What You Will Bring:
- Atleast 6 months of experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar relevant degree.
- Working knowledge of following: Linux Administration, Networking, Cloud (AWS, AZURE, GCP), Virtualization, Experience with Container services (Docker), Bash Scripting, Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform.
- Programming fundamentals.
- Strong problem solving.
- Good communication skills.
