What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?
-Within 30 days you will:
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with detailed orientation program where you will learn Jazz’s values, business, and products
Meet relevant stakeholders for Data Analytics Team, including internal (CVM, Business Analysis, Technology, Commercial) and external (Vendor).
Develop understanding of relevant production systems, product hierarchies, structures and design, systems and technologies used in the overall eco-system.
Understand the processes followed to comprehend the Systems requirements and their integrations across the different projects.
 
-Within 60 days, you will:
Establish good relationship with relevant stakeholders to independently drive systems requirements and oversee the implementation.
Recommend ways to improve current systems processes, enable self-service systems performance monitoring.
Focus on automation & DevOps in the Systems Practice and work to identify manual re-iterative tasks.
Formulate plans on how to improve current processes in the Systems Engineering practice.
Coordinate internally with the team on Big Data and CMS projects to support systems requirements.
 
-Within 90 days to onwards you will:
Independently lead large scale systems deployments, with complete requirements analysis and oversight.
Work across multiple technology tools not limited to just proprietary but Open Source technologies as well.
Pro-actively monitor systems to improve their performance and focus much on automation & DevOps practices.

We currently have one of the biggest Analytics Infrastructure in Pakistan, especially servicing our reporting and analytical needs for the last 10 years. Now we are moving towards open-source, rebuilding the Data Platform to better serve our next-gen needs, which are real-time, contextual, and subscriber driven. This journey will transform us from a traditional Analytics team to a world-class Data Management team, focusing on utilizing technology to generate direct and indirect revenue streams for the company.
 
A bit about you:
We are looking for someone who has already delivered on challenging projects and understand the basic concepts of Systems Administration, Networking concepts and the principles of DevOps.
Data Analytics team is part of Analytics & Insights Department within Commercial. The team is responsible to manage complete technical data analysis and reporting needs at Jazz and has to ensure high availability of all systems.
The structure of the team you will join is:
·       A 29-member team (including the department head) with various project teams
·       You will be part of systems practice reporting to a practice lead
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:
·       Ensuring 99.99% uptime of all systems in the eco-system.
·       Proactively manage and monitor the performance of all systems, processes and applications.
With which other stakeholders the successful candidate will work with functional/regional/ within the team. What would be the result of those interactions if we assume 100% collaboration?
Ability to build strong relationships with External Teams: Vendors, In-house Resource Augmentation Teams, etc.
Ability to build strong relationships with Internal Teams: Tech, Data Practice, Product Development.
The two (02) specific tasks that team was working on in the last 6 months with results.
·       Data Management Platform – a re-imagined look at meeting the analytical requirements of the company
·       Merging Jazz and Warid data-warehouse to provide singular reporting

Telecom Industry knowledge
Systems Administration & DevOps
Proactive approach and automation.

Open Source technologies, EDW (Teradata preferably)
Python, Shell Scripting
