Job Description

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for the Pakistan region to join our growing team.  This person will be primarily responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day of our projects in the region, and coordinating all the activities and tasks associated with their successful completion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to collating information from various staff members within JCM and local partners on-the-ground and ensuring our project management software, budgets and gantt charts etc are current and accurate in addition to running the monthly project meetings to the investment committee.

The following duties would be required for the role of Project Coordinator:

  • Manage and track administrative aspects of the budget, including maintaining budget trackers, undertaking budget analyses, and updating budgets as required
  • Managing and tracking invoices and providing first review
  • To ensure timely and accurate reporting of projects progress including weekly and monthly updates
  • Preparation of presentations, graphs and background research on projects and project markets (assist with Birds Eye Views (“BEV’s)” – our standardized overview of a new business development opportunity)
  • General administrative tasks including help with Know Your Client (“KYC”)
  • Building, maintaining and tracking the project schedules – populating Project Management Software
  • Support Project Developer with establishing work priorities and management deadlines, procedures and technical workstreams, including preparation of RFPs, etc. 
  • Assist with creating and distributing proposals for technical works. Follow up with bidders to determine status, clarifications and questions and ultimately assist in the evaluation process
  • Assist with capturing action items, tracking and issuing updates following update calls and discussions with technical partners (consultants, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (“EPC”) Partners, suppliers, etc)
  • Engage and coordinate work streams with suppliers and partners
  • Manage administrative operation with both local and international partners related to all aspect of the project
  • Set-up and management of project meetings, both internal and external. Creation and issue of meeting minutes to ensure all parties are clear on actions required
  • Set monthly and weekly goals for project development & present monthly project reviews to senior management
  • Track and update monthly and weekly goals and ensure they meet established timelines. 
  • Create, format and edit various documents, presentations, letters, proposals, etc.
  • Develop and manage the Document Management System (ex Dropbox folders)
  • Track and update milestone tracker as per updates provided by Project Developer
  • Passionate about project management working within their unique ability.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

·   Project management experience ideally in renewable energy

·   Highly personable, professional, detail-oriented & organized

·   Strong written & verbal communication skills

·   Strong leadership skills – ability to motivate different groups of people to fulfill their responsibilities

·   Strong presentation skills

·   Experience managing budgets, assisting with budget preparation and budgetary controls

·   Experience working with large Institutions (Governments and/or public/private agencies)

·   Strong knowledge of power-point, excel, word, Microsoft office, Gantt chart project management software and tools (knowledge of energy-related software such as PVsyst and 3tier is an asset).

·   PMP (or working towards it), or Certified Associate in PM, Bachelor of Commerce or Engineering

·   Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi Fluency

·   May be a requirement to travel to project sites from time to time but main location is Karachi, Pakistan & language of business is English
