JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Candidate must be able to communicate in English with US Nationals

·         Experience in medical billing required for at least 3 years

·         CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Preferred

·         Familiarity with medical billing systems, ICD-9, ICD 10, CPT, medical coding, and basic medical terminology.

·         Must be able to read and understand charts within EMR and super bills

·         Competent with common PC application Including Interne, GoToMyPC, Email and Microsoft Office.

·         Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and state Medicaid

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Understand Explanation of benefit (EOB).

·         Determine the cause of explanation of benefits (EOB) denials, pull supporting data from patient charts and billing system, and communicate with local billing team to resolve matter with insurance companies if required related to outstanding claims.

·         Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness electronically and obtain any missing information

·         Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe

·         Check each insurance payment is for accuracy and compliance with contract discount

·         Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary

·         Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances

·         All accounts are to be reviewed for insurance or patient follow-up

·         To Communicate Effectively with Team and Clients.

·         To perform Primary and Multi Specialty Billing.

·         To perform the Account Receivables, Denial Management, Appeal Management.

·         To perform Credentialing, Contracting and Enrollments.

·         To maintain the protocols and documentation of each performed task.

·         Any other task as assigned by the management.

·         Managing the operational team.

·         Supervise medical coding, medical billing

Specific to coding

·         Translate patient information and into alphanumeric medical code 

·         Code patient services and enter into PMS/Billing System

·         Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed properly for all the procedures performed

·         Manage information about patient treatment, diagnosis and related procedures to ensure proper coding
