Overview:

Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University. We are seeking applications from experienced professionals for the following Peshawar-based positions for a USAID- funded Project working on Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery in Pakistan.

The position will assist and support to technical team in implementing a MNCH/FP service delivery program. He/ She will make close coordination with government and other stakeholders to better implement IHSS/SD Project activities in the province of KP. He/She will work closely with Technical Advisors, who will be responsible for the designing and implementation of MNCH/FP related service delivery activities for the project; and the project implementation teams to ensure that project resources are applied appropriately.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of existing maternal, newborn and child health, family planning related training packages and finalization
  • Develop training courses, if needed.
  • Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Building annual training program and manage training budget.
  • Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment and supplies.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching.
  • Translating requirements into trainings.
  • Develop or oversee the production of resource Material, handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
  • Identify the training programs to address competency gaps
  • Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
  • Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
  • Map out training plans as per need.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Track and report on training outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to program participants and management
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology.
  • Orient the concerned beneficiaries on project goal, objectives and targeted activities.
  • Undertake training need assessment
  • Design training material/manuals and conduct trainings in close coordination with provincial/ district Project team, government and donor.
  • Design and implement training follow up mechanism and ensure need based support
  • Write reports according to the project and donor requirements
  • Produce success stories/case studies and share with communication Officer through concerned line Manager.
  • Maintain updated record of Trainings.
  • Submit monthly, weekly and daily work plan to the concerned Line manager on regular basis
  • Analyze training data and prepare reports. 

Required Qualifications:     

  • MBBS and Masters in Public Health or equivalent
  •  5+ years of experience in designing & conducting trainings in MNCH, Family Planning and/or Reproductive Health. In addition, working experience in public sector will be preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Functional grip on MS-Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure
  • This posiition requires 50% travelling
