Jhpiego is an international non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University, USA. For more than 40 Years and in over 150 countries, Jhpiego has worked to prevent the needless deaths of women and thier families. Jhpiego is dedicated to improving the health of women and families in developing countries. Jhpiego is addressing critical public health issue in Pakistan through collaboration with  national and local government, training  insititutions, private practitioners and health educators. Jhpiego has been working in Pakistan since 1997 on various project like Key Social Marketing, FALAH and PRIDE. Currently is working on "Innovation and Quality Postpartum family services in ISLAMABAD Punjab." Jhpiego requires a Training & Logistic Officer for its Family Planning project in District ISMABABD, Punjab.

Responsiblities:

  • The Training and Logistic Assistant is responsible for managing clerical services, communications, facilities, fleet assest and inventory, warehouse, procurement, hotel booking and other general training and logistic support services to facilitate overall program goals and objectives.
  • In addition s/he will ensure maintaining and implementing training & logistic systems and services and to ensure quality services are delivered. specific responsibilities include;
  • Manage all logistical requirements including requested hotel bookings, conference room arrangements, activity event planning and travel support, etc.
  • Provide editorial support in developing training material, e.g formating, translations, branding etc.
  • Coordinate with Jhpiego Country Office, when required
  • Processes Logistic requests from program and ensures follow-up action complated.
  • collect distribution records from programs and reconcile with the release documents
  • Draft formal letters to in coutry partner and stakeholder
  • performs other duties, as needed or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social science, or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience of an increasingly responsible Program work at least 2 years of which involved providing secretarial or administrative & logistic support to Program Team / Project Team.
  • Self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability) and the ability to project a professional, consistent image of confidence, integrity, and competence.
  • Proven ability to work in a team
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications.

Jhpiego has been working in Pakistan since 1997 when it provided technical assistance under a series of maternal and reproductive health projects funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). One of the Project aims in Pakistan is to improve the quality of public and private sector health services. Healthcare providers will be trained; health facilities renovated and services will be expanded and improved. We also will improve access of women and children to health services especially the poor and those who do not or cannot go for health care, by educating communities and families and setting up better transport and communications systems. By 2017, thousands of deaths of women, newborn babies and infants will have been prevented as a result of the USAID/Pakistan MCH Program. USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan. Complaints are handled with complete confidentiality and individuals are encouraged to report when corruption, fraud, waste or abuse may exit in the USAID/Pakistan projects.
