Jin Technologies is looking for an energetic and self-driven individual for its Islamabad team.
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, the chosen candidate will be working closely with different technology teams such as development, product, support and implementation to support any testing requirements.
You are expected to liaise with the team which is spread across different geographical locations.
Candidate should have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences or related field
- 2+ years of Industry Experience
- Knowledge of Industry Standard Finance Workflows
- Good understanding of Agile Development Process
- Experience in Sahi Suite, Jenkins, Jira and Postman/Jmeter
- Basic understanding about debugging issues in web applications
- Effective communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to work independently
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Testing the code at user level (functional testing) manually
- Create and maintain test cases/scenarios
- Participate in sprint planning and other relevant meetings
- Work as sprint team member and write new test cases for the sprint tickets and execute them
- Identify and report bugs discovered within the sprint, participate in regression testing and ensure that any fixes are retested
- Support, extend and improve our automated test suite
- Support our test environments to ensure they are updated regularly and any problems are flagged up/fixed as they occur
- Pick up any calculation errors and raise them immediately
- Understand, analyze and challenge (if needed) the product requirements and write precise test cases/scenarios with required test datasets
- Look for opportunities to improve the overall quality of our product and testing processes
- Highlight new Industry Standards, potential quality risks and issues
- Fill daily timesheets to record the time spent on relevant tasks
- Weekly report/feedback to QA Manager
