Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our anti-counterfeit operations. This role is critical in protecting the integrity of our brand by combating counterfeit activities and ensuring strict enforcement of our intellectual property rights. The successful candidate will work closely with law enforcement agencies, oversee enforcement actions, and implement strategies to eliminate counterfeit products from the market, thereby strengthening our brand presence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all anti-counterfeit initiatives, driving efforts to identify and eliminate counterfeit products that threaten the brand’s reputation and market share.
- Collaborate and coordinate effectively with law enforcement agencies to facilitate brand protection activities, ensuring timely and appropriate legal action against counterfeiters.
- Oversee the execution of raids on counterfeit operations, ensuring that all necessary legal documentation, including First Information Reports (FIRs), are accurately filed and followed up.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the brand’s market presence by reducing the circulation of counterfeit goods and ensuring adherence to compliance standards across all channels.
- Monitor and analyze counterfeit trends and market intelligence to proactively address emerging threats and adapt enforcement strategies accordingly.
- Liaise with internal teams such as legal, compliance, and marketing to align anti-counterfeit efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Maintain detailed records and reports on enforcement activities, providing regular updates to senior management on progress and challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading anti-counterfeit or brand protection operations, preferably within a consumer goods or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and enforcement mechanisms related to counterfeit goods.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies and navigate legal processes such as filing FIRs and coordinating raids.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple enforcement activities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to assess counterfeit risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders including government authorities, internal teams, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
