Job Summary
Mintech Resources, a leading minerals commodities trading group with a strong presence in global markets, is seeking a motivated Finance Executive to join their team at the SITE area in Karachi, Pakistan. Reporting directly to the Manager - Finance, this role is crucial in supporting the company’s financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and regulatory compliance functions. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the company’s financial management and operational efficiency, ensuring smooth financial processes within a dynamic trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Executive will be responsible for calculating product and service costs, analyzing cost variances, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Preparing and managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and providing actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making are key aspects of the role. The candidate will also implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Handling supplier invoices is a critical function, including processing, verifying, and preparing payments to suppliers, vendors, and contractors. Maintaining strong vendor relationships and resolving any payment or invoice discrepancies will be essential. The role also involves ensuring strict compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Reconciliation of vendor statements against company records to maintain accuracy is another important responsibility. Additionally, the Finance Executive will prepare and issue invoices to customers, monitor customer credit limits, and reconcile customer statements to ensure alignment with company accounts.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom), Master’s in Commerce (MCom), be an ACCA finalist, possess a BBA in Finance, or have an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is required, with preference given to those who have worked in the commodities trading sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential to effectively manage financial data and support business decisions. Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory. The candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across departments and maintain productive relationships with vendors and customers.
