Duties and Responsibilities:
The personwill provide support in implementation of GHSA and COVID-19 assignment under IHSS-SD Activity. The personwill provide technical support to Public Health Specialist and Command & Control Centre (CCC) team at the Health Secretariats in AJK and Gilgit Baltistan on COVID-19to focus on fight against COVID-19 and will perform the following task
1. Support the Epidemiologist based at CCC under intimation to Incharge CCC for designing ways of collecting data on COVID-19 from district level
2. Quality checking and cleansing of data reported from District Health Authorities and Health Facilities
3. Interpreting statistical analysis for policy development, evaluation /monitoring, forecasting
4. Dealing with queries for a range of sub offices at directorate general health services, district health authorities and health facilities
5. Developing statistical tools for future data collection related to COVID-19 and SARI
6. Identifying department’s needs, specifying what data to be delivered, developing robust, timely methods to ensure date
7. Consulting with team and agreeing what data to collect and how it should be gathered
8. Interpreting the data and making sure that the right decisions are made based on the results
9. Presenting results to senior managers, regulatory authorities
10. Support epidemiologist in advising policymakers on key decisions based on results
11. Carrying out research, as part of a team
12. Writing reports and articles for publication as required by Incharge CCC
13. Any other task assigned by the Supervisor/s
