The Chauffeur will be a full-time position based in the Lahore office. An international Non-Government working will work closely with the government of Pakistan across all levels to enable a greater ability to lead, design, manage, and monitor a system of high-quality, integrated health services. The program will also build the capacity of civil society and the private sector to work with government to support these efforts and fill gaps.

This position requires a broad range of motor pool functions. The position holder will work under the supervision of Program Officer. This position will be responsible for the transport services and vehicle repair & maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

•     To drive at a speed adjusted to the road, weather conditions within maximum allowable speed limit, with consideration for the safety of passengers, other road users, and the technical state of the vehicle.

•     Pedestrian’s crossing points must be respected.

•     Elderly and disabled must be respected.

•     Avoid overtaking school bus and maintain slow speed near school zones/facilities with children in them.

•     Use horn wherever necessary, allow speed especially where there are school children leaving schools, pedestrians, narrow streets, crossings, turning on blind corners etc.

•     Maintain recommended distance from other vehicles.

•     To wear seat belt and ensure that the passengers in the front seats also wear their seat belts at all times when the vehicle is in motion.

•     To immediately notify his superior as well as the local authorities in case of any accident in which he is involved.

•     To keep his/her driving license valid and ready for inspection.

•     To make sure all necessary vehicle documents (e.g. insurance, registration etc.) are present in the vehicle and are up-to-date.

•     To ensure necessary travel permits (approved travel authorization form) and documents are available for each journey outside the municipal limits.

•     To correctly fill in the vehicle logbook with details of each journey, fuel and other vehicle repair & maintenance.

•     To keep track of scheduled vehicle maintenance, in order to make sure that the vehicle is maintained properly.

•     To keep the vehicle assigned clean and road worthy and refuel when necessary.

•     To ensure the safe parking, whenever possible in the office and during duties.

•     Perform bank related duties, deposit utility bills and deliver mails.

•     Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification, Experience and Required Skills

•     Minimum primary to secondary level education.

•     Minimum 02 years of work experience in the related field.

•     Ability to interact with people and understand basic level of English language.

Familiar with the provincial capital and districts of Punjab.
