POSITION SUMMARY
An international Non-Government working on Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide technical assistance mainly to the provincial Departments of Health (DOH) and Population Welfare (PWD).
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer located at Peshawar will report to the Director M&E. He/she will generally spend seventy percent of time in the field and also work closely with the local project team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Primarily responsible for monitoring of field activities carried by the consortium partners
· Visit project districts, tehsil and union councils to varify and validate the mobilization data of implementing partners
· Ensure quality of training conducted by partners at the community and health facility
· Check data in the field from registers maintained by the Social Organizers and Community Resource Persons. Randomly select households from these registers and validate their participation in meetings
· Participate in training sessions organised by the partners and monitor the quality of trainings and report
· Monitor PLGHA and FP compliance during training and fill checklists accordingly for each type of training organised by NRSP/SRSP
· Assist Manager M&E in developing M&E work Plan and training plan for the project as appropriate.
· Ensure that the work executed and produced by IHSS-SD team and partners is of high quality.
· Develop/adapt tools for qualitative and qualntitative data collection and monitor each project intervention.
· Responsible for field monitoring and validation of project activities. Assist in the implementation of DHIS, LHW-MIS and other MISs in project districts of KP
· Help in implementtaion of recording, reporting and feedback system for performnace of activities.
· Coordinate partners to ensure smooth informaton flow on a regular basis.
· Update performance against targets using management information systems and monitoring data to document the reasons for gaps and over achievements.
· Document project achievements and creates regular monitring reports.
· Ensure each intervention is carefuly monitored and evaluated.
· Maintain coordination with other staff members.
· Undertake other tasks, as assigned by the Director M&E
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Sciology, statistics, public health, social sciences or related field.
· Experience in monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on USAID-funded projects and a knowledge and understanding of USAID reporting requirements.
· Knowldgeable regarding the health information systems in Pakistan and KP. Local candidates from KP will be given preference
· Knowledgeable regarding all existing data sources under KP Health and population programs
· Experienced user of software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
· Strong presentation skills to stakeholders particularly at District level.
· Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations in the project districts is required.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
