Responsible for the execution of technical implementation and configuration support as well as post implementation maintenance and support work. Applicant should have excellent communications skills and the ability to work within a team and independently. Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of work, whilst demonstrating persistence in pursuing solutions/ fixes and the confidence to challenge thinking and suggest novel approaches to problems.

Responsibilities

·         To provide primary deployment, enhancement, monitoring, preventive maintenance and configuration support to telecommunication related equipments and services.

·         To diagnose and resolve all problems related to hardware, internal software and system operation, availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall function during an implementation.

·         To conduct User Acceptance Test and provide User Training.

·         To build internal development and test system mirroring customer production environments.

·         To report and escalate customer problems and enhancements with detailed explanation of issue and recommended resolution.

·         To provide feedbacks on future product deployment, system performance, features, and functions of the service.

·         To provide pro-active monitoring and maintaining service for software platform and continuous and frequent systems backup.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

·         Degree in Computer / Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.

·         At least 2 years of relevant working experience.

·         Experience & exposure in Telco industry will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Experience

·         Ability to maintain consistency in follow-up actions with customers and suppliers.

·         Familiar with Telecom & IT Network and technologies, Windows and LINUX environment.

·         Experienced administering and managing Linux/Unix environments such as (Redhat/Centos/Ubuntu/etc)

·         Knowledge in MySQL and SQL scripting.

·         Experience in development environment under Linux and Windows and familiar with shell scripting language such as bash scripting, Perl or Python.

·         Bash/perl scripting knowledge and experience in automating tasks utilizing these technologies.

·         Understanding of VMWare virtualization and behavior of systems within virtualized environments

·         Practical experience with Asterisk or FreeSwitch, Zabbix & Nagios would be an advantage.

·         Aware of and knowledgeable regarding Internet Protocol (IP) fundamentals including IPRouting, Layer 2 Networking/VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPN as well as the associated TCP/UDP/ICMP knowledge.

·         Knowledge/Experience setting up and working with common infrastructure services (DNS/NFS/DHCP/SSH/SNMP/Content Delivery Networks/Load Balancers/etc).

·         Familiarity with CISCO equipment’s would be an advantage.

·         Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.

·         Willingness to travel and on standby 24 X 7 basis.
