Kaylanii is seeking a skilled Production & Sourcing Manager who will serve as an essential link between the company's creative design team and the skilled artisans responsible for crafting high-quality Zardozi embroidery. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with supply chain management and procurement strategies, with a strong focus on sourcing and overseeing artisanal production that aligns with international luxury standards. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, ensuring every piece maintains impeccable quality, while effectively managing production timelines to meet delivery deadlines.
This position demands exceptional organizational and communication skills, as the manager will coordinate extensively with workshops specializing in Zardozi and hand embroidery, ensuring smooth operations on the ground. The Production & Sourcing Manager will handle supplier relationships, conduct thorough quality control inspections, and communicate progress through regular updates. Although not managing a formal team, the role requires leadership in directing and motivating artisan partners and workshop collaborators to achieve superior craftsmanship and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Source and identify reliable Zardozi and hand-embroidery workshops with proven craftsmanship quality.
- Conduct on-site scouting and evaluations to select suitable workshop partners aligned with Kaylanii's luxury standards.
- Supervise and perform quality control checks on fabrics, embroidery work, and stitching to ensure superior product finish.
- Manage and monitor production timelines rigorously to guarantee all orders are completed and shipped without delays.
- Provide daily and weekly behind-the-scenes updates to internal teams, maintaining transparent communication on order progress.
- Handle artisan coordination issues effectively, resolving any conflicts or challenges to maintain smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with design and procurement teams to align sourcing activities with the companys creative visions and cost management goals.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, supplier performance, and production schedules to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize skills in supply chain management and lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Communicate fluently in Urdu with artisans to ensure clear instructions and in English with the brand team for seamless coordination.
- Stay current with industry trends, sourcing innovations, and material quality improvements relevant to luxury textile manufacturing.
- Work closely with procurement to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that enhance overall product quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international quality standards, and ethical production practices throughout the sourcing process.
