Job brief
KBM is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic academic at the Lecturer level specializing in the field of Digital Marketing. As a lecturer you will be expected to deliver digital modules on courses such as, Social Media, YouTube, Website keyword analysis & basic designing while using WordPress Wix or Weebly templates. Provide students with an understanding of strategic and traditional marketing, develop knowledge and skills which enable students to apply this knowledge to digital contexts. The ideal candidate will have a mix of both academic and practitioner experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Have an excellent awareness of digital marketing tools and techniques in the following areas, Social media platform, You Tube, Google Keyword, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Social Media Optimization (SMO) , Graphic Designing, Video Editing and Google Analytics
2. Design your lectures to be informed by contemporary research which leads to students developing the ability to engage in logical thinking.
3. Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas
4. Be proactive, inspirational and highly motivated with the experience of innovative teaching and successful development, planning and coordination of modules
5. Participate in the planning and delivery of a range of programmes within the subject area
6. Taking care of initial assessments of learners
7. Deliver consistently good training and assessment within the curriculum, through an effective variety of teaching and learning activities.
8. Monitoring, reviewing and further developing individual learning plans with each learner.
9. Provide one-to-one sessions to learners to respond to their learning needs and to supervise and direct their work-based learning
10. Manage own case load of learners, continuously assessing and marking learners’ work, monitoring and tracking their progress, recording progress including any issues and challenges
11. Provide support to learners through a variety of platforms to include telephone, email, Microsoft Teams, and online learning platforms to include LMS
12. Undertake administrative duties related to the curriculum and individual students and assessors to enable outstanding outcomes for all students
Qualifications & Experience
1. Have 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
2. Be able to develop resources, learning materials and documents to assist with the delivery of the programme
3. Have the necessary skillset and experience to plan and deliver outstanding training programmes that are interesting, interactive and engaging Have excellent IT skills in a range of software, be confident in using virtual - meeting/training platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
4. Have the necessary skills to observe students, providing support and guidance to enable them to gain their desired qualifications
5. Have the experience to know when and how to make interventions to ensure learner progress is successful and sustainable
Skills & Abilities
1. Be flexible, self-motivated and approachable with a ‘can do’ attitude
2. Have effective organisational skills and be able to plan own workload
3. Have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both written and verbal
4. High ethical and professional standards
