- Write business proposals to form JV and consortium agreements and prepare pre- qualification documents
- Must have worked on housing, buildings and road infrastructure projects.
- Prepare interim payment certificates and do rate analysis
- Communicate with clients and other relevant consultants (architects, engineers and surveyors) and attend regular meetings to keep them inform of the progress
- Prepare technical and financial proposals for projects, attending pre & post bids meetings
- Prepare construction schedule & site progress reports
- Identify businesses and projects to pre-qualify with, and following up on the pre- qualification process, including preparing PQ documents
- Research business opportunities and viable income streams
- Coordinate with government departments and regulatory bodies in acquiring required .Permits, licenses and approvals
- Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
- Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant
- Agree a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the selected project
- Manage, monitoring and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- Coordinate with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
- Plan the work and organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
- Oversee quality control, health and safety matters on site
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
