Blockbid is a crypto currency exchange with the goal of facilitating the highest volume of trades for .the most cryptocurrencies with a single login. Since our inception in August 2017, we have experienced rapid growth resulting in new positions that need to be filled to satisfy the growing demand for our highly scalable, secure, round the clock exchange.
Blockbid is looking for a strong DevOps Engineer (3 years minimum experience) to work within our core architecture team. We are looking for a smart team player with strong communication skills, ambition, drive and a willingness to learn. If you’re a self-motivated individual who has demonstrated capabilities of meeting tight deadlines, wants to push the limits in a new and challenging market, then we want you on our team.
Key Criteria:
Manage build and deployment pipeline for development, integration and production environments, including provisioning of new environments as required
Operational support for core production systems and third-party integrations
Ownership of Kubernetes estate, web, database and messaging infrastructure
Build out of monitoring and performance analysis tools
Work within a Security team to implement best practice and security measures
Drive innovation to ensure availability, capacity, performance and resilience of processes
Desirable Skills:
Git or equivalent distributed version control software
Ability to create, build and test definitions for CI / CD tools using semantic versioning frameworks
Google Cloud management and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform
SQL and NoSQL database management
Shell scripting for process automation
Monitoring / Visualisation and log shipping framework configuration
Messaging Broker / Event Bus management (Rabbit / Kafka etc)s
VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, SSL, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting
Expert in DevOps processes and best practices
