The Architectural Designer is responsible for designing buildings to create unique and well-organized structures. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss their vision, drawing up building plans & modifying their designs throughout the building process to maximize structural integrity.
Job Description:
- Developing initial estimates on structure costs, building time, and special requirements.
- Preparing detailed drawings showing both the appearance and interior structure of a building project.
- Preparing work contracts for building subcontractors.
- Visiting sites to ensure the construction of buildings according to the plans.
- Developing and giving a presentation to inform the public about upcoming public projects.
- Understanding of building systems, construction materials/methods/techniques for new and existing structures.
- 3-D modeling service in sketch-up or other formats that accurately and clearly depict the architectural design.
- Preparing architectural reports and progress narratives.
- Assist with architectural tasks for project in construction.
- Support the other related departments.
- Stay connected with related departments.
