Lead and execute independently small to medium size assignments. Interact with staff at various levels within the organization and provide value-added recommendations to the business.
- Participate in audit meetings and build positive working relationships with the auditee.
- Perform walkthroughs of key areas of the business, identify areas for improvement and suggest remedial actions to the management to better manage risks.
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in the Creation/Amendment of the audit program for newly identified risks or changes to initial risk assessments for all assignments.
- Prepare the Audit Planning Memorandum, including scope and objectives for the specific areas as agreed with the Internal Audit Manager and auditee prior to the start of the fieldwork.
- Prepare audit programs covering all risk areas and plan audit tasks to adhere to overall audit time constraints and budgets.
- Execute and complete each audit assignment, (independently or in a team) within the budgeted time frame, including properly documented/indexed and cross-referenced Audit working papers
- Analyze, provide insights and evaluate the productivity, potential, and non-productive areas of the entity and recommend enhancements to optimize throughput.
- Document audit approaches, tests, and evidence to support findings and conclusions prior to issuing the audit report/deliverable.
- Draft findings identified during the assignment, agree on actions with the Line Managers (prior to the completion of the audit fieldwork), and follow up on implementation status.
- Update all findings raised in the report during assignments in the audit management system, schedule follow-up with relevant auditee as per agreed target dates for implementation.
- Provide ad-hoc support & guidance to business units upon request.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls during audits performed.
Reporting Line: This position is within the Internal Audit & Operations Efficiency Department and reports to the Internal Audit Manager.
Perform Financial, Operational, and Compliance audits in specific areas of the business to identify and recommend improvements to better manage risk exposures. Be accountable for and provide support in the execution and completion of audit assignments in line with the approved annual audit plan.
