Kiwi Traders is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with at least one year of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in financial reporting and account reconciliation, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and dashboard creation. This role demands precision in managing financial records and delivering accurate reports to support decision-making processes. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the companys financial data and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
The Accountant operates independently without managing a team but collaborates across departments to collect and verify data, track expenses, and support budgeting activities. This position requires excellent analytical abilities and a commitment to maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial information. The candidate will contribute to streamlining accounting processes through effective use of spreadsheet software and dashboard tools, enabling efficient monitoring of financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the correctness of financial records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to create and maintain detailed financial spreadsheets and dashboards for tracking company performance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper recording in the accounting system.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information for reporting and audit purposes.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to more efficient financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations related to accounting practices.
- Stay up to date on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards that may impact the company.
- Assist external auditors during year-end audits by providing required documentation and clarifications.
