We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Import Officer to manage and oversee international import operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in handling import documentation, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end import activities, from order placement to delivery
Prepare and verify shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and clearing agents
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation
Liaise with internal departments like procurement, finance, and warehouse
Ensure timely payment of duties, taxes, and other import-related costs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in import operations or logistics
In-depth knowledge of import regulations, INCOTERMS, HS codes, and customs procedures
Experience using ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication and coordination skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
