Kohistan group is looking for a candidate to fill in the position of Assistant Manager Procurement. Candidates with the experience of working with construction industry for a project based in Islamabad, with past experience in working with Bannu Mukhtar, Paragon, Mughal Engineering, MIDJAC, Principal and ZKB and with a Q.S Background will have preference.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Create purchase orders for items needed to order and place order to respective suppliers
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms
- Source for suppliers who could offer better products, and provide cost savings for the company
- Overseeing inventory storage, handling and distribution
- Coordinate with inventory team as required.
- Coordinate with Supplier to ensure the products are delivered on time
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
- Working with co-managers and buyers to source right products
- Improving the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
- Implementing new technologies and staying alert to new trends in the sector.
