Position Summary:
Functions may include acting as a web developer, gathering requirements around functionality and translating those requirements into effective web and mobile solutions, developing mobile user interfaces, developing and maintaining websites, enhancing web/mobile user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support
- Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
- Optimizing performance for the apps/web
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies
- Proven experience in web app development
- Excellent knowledge in information architecture, UI and UX principles
- A track record of delivering successful consumer products
- Experience in Python and frameworks like Django is a plus
- Experience in web service integration (REST, JSON, XML)
- Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
- Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax
- Using version control (e.g. Git)
- Code, debug, and test systems per requirements and technical design
- Ability to propose, advocate and critique design alternatives to determine solutions
- Good written and verbal communication skills
