Software Development Project Manager
Apexchat is currently looking for a Project Manager to join its highly talented engineering team to drive successful completion of software development project on-time and with high quality. This opportunity is for a self-motivated, passionate, execution-oriented project manager who enjoys working with people and achieving fast results.
The successful applicant must be an experienced project manager with good people’s skill, having a deep understanding of product life cycle, release management, sprint planning and management and issue tracking. An analytical mind, a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, and an outstanding work ethic. C# experience and PMP would be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
• Manages all aspects of the software product development lifecycle, including systems analysis, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Accountable for projects delivered on-time and within scope.
• Analyze business requirements and assist in the creation of functional specifications.
• Define project scope of work by establishing its objectives, deliverables, costs and success criteria.
• Developing project scopes, objectives, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with internal resources for the execution of projects and to maximize outputs.
• Create and maintain detail project plan and tracker. Proactively disseminate project information to align resources and stakeholders.
• Develop metrics for determining project health by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Manage and mitigate project risks.
• Manage and prioritize request and issues into releases.
• Help in creating and maintenance of comprehensive release notes and installation documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of the application. Assist in issue resolution and provide timely follow-up on identified issues
• Fosters and maintains good working relationships with colleagues and stake holders to meet expected service levels.
Desired skills/ Experience
• Minimum 5 years as software project manager.
• Minimum 4 years in development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale software applications.
• High level knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET or other programming languages/concepts
• Experience with system integrations. Worked with API definition of interface requirements between systems.
• Agile and SCRUM methodology experience.
• Use of project management tools such as JIRA, Slack and Confluence.
• Excellent written and communication skills
Qualifications
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• MBA will be considered a plus.
• PMP certification will be considered a plus.
