LCL is seeking a dedicated Safety IOSH professional to lead and enhance the health and safety standards within our organization. With at least one year of relevant experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety training and development, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of safety across all departments. This role involves managing a team of 20 persons, providing guidance, support, and leadership to promote workplace safety and minimize risks.
The Safety IOSH specialist will develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, conduct regular training sessions, and monitor safety practices to uphold the organizations commitment to maintaining a secure working environment. Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to safety management are essential for driving continuous improvement and ensuring that safety policies are consistently applied and followed throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 20 safety professionals to ensure effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs to improve employee knowledge and compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records in accordance with organizational and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Investigate safety incidents and near misses to identify root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Monitor compliance with IOSH safety standards and ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Provide expert advice and support to management and employees on safety matters and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of safety training and initiatives and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, safety regulations, and best practices to keep safety programs current and effective.
