The Learning & Development (L&D) Training Specialist will be instrumental in leading the site induction program and upskilling technical staff to ensure impactful project and program delivery. This role involves managing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to enhance practical skills and promoting the use of Lean tools such as Kaizens, OPLs, Task Instructions, SIMPTWW, and Toolbox Talks. The specialist will oversee the capability-building framework (Step-up Cards) to activate HAPS across all pillars, sustaining a culture of continuous improvement in EHS, Quality, Production, Engineering, and Projects. As a key member of the Operational Excellence Team, the role expands L&D’s scope beyond GMP and regulatory compliance to develop technical mastery across the site, supporting the effective implementation of initiatives aligned with the site’s future vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive induction training system to ensure smooth onboarding and value creation.
- Oversee the full cycle of Learning Needs Assessment, curriculum management, delivery systems, compliance, and reporting for the site.
- Govern the Site Capability Matrix, including the HAPS Pillar framework.
- Facilitate and conduct on-the-job training for technical staff to improve machine performance and support deployment of HAPS Standard Work Procedures and tools across AM, PM, and PS Pillars.
- Develop a roadmap for the Site’s Technical Training Academy or Centre focused on in-house upskilling.
- Ensure proper archiving and record-keeping of training activities in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Innovate and simplify training systems to enhance engagement, upskilling, and impact delivery.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training within Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Pharmaceutical, and OSHA regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to enable effective internal communication at the site level.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Office, Planner, and SharePoint.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with agility.
- Training or coaching certification with at least 1 year of professional industrial training experience.
- Experience with IWS, OPEN+, WCM, TPS tools deployment, or participation as an E&T Pillar Leader or member.
