We are seeking a highly-skilled Quality Assurance Engineer. The primary role will entail executing routine testing methods to identify and mitigate system issues, including PHP code reviews and user interface testing.
We require a candidate that can read and write PHP code, understand our user’s experience, effectively communicate, and capable of creating technical documentation.
The individual will be a part of a large development team but will need to be self-disciplined as this position will require repetitive actions and reporting while the primary role for the other members of the team is new development. This position will not require code development but can lead to a different position in the future.
QAE Responsibilities:

Create efficient test plans and schedules
-
Proactively and consistently evaluate testing process and efficiencies

Conduct code review on new development
-
Conduct code review on production code
-
Routinely test GUI features
-
Monitor regular performance of the servers, databases, GUIs
-
Perform tests and report on outcomes
-
Track, evaluate, and report on QA strategy progress
-
Track bug fixes through to release
-
Provide recommendations on problematic code or features
-
Design and create test conditions, test data and test scripts to address technical use cases
-
Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function

Accountable for improved quality over time, including reducing production defects and negative impacts to end-user experience and internal operations
QAE Skills:
-
Experience working with remote and culturally diverse team members
-
Good communication skills (documentation, technical recommendations)
-
Experience working with multiple technology stacks (PHP, MySql, JSON, XML, JavaScript)
