Position: - Project Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant (PM&E Assistant)

The Project Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant (M&E Assistant) shall be based at Taluka level mentioned in his contract and his appointment will be through a competitive process in collaboration with Local Government Department, Government of Sindh and in consultation with UNICEF and in line with the recruitment guidelines of the UNICEF. The PME Assistant will be appointed with the following terms of references (ToRs):
1. Provide trainings on DBR applications use and facilitate gatekeepers to register children at local level through mobile application.
2. Oversee the technical issues on log in user IDs or other mobile applications used in the process and address those by recording entries in log book.
3. Submit and share monthly plan and progress report of his specific area with Project Coordinator.
4. Prepare target based training plans of his Taluka and share and implement the same in consultation with PC.
5. Functionalize the taluka office effectively and maintain attendance register on regular basis and get the same countersigned from PC.
6. Maintain supplies inventory received from UNICEF.
7. Coordinate and report all field visits at taluka level.
8. Form the Taluka Working Groups and coordinate with Assistant Commissioners of their respective Taluka to chair the meeting.
9. Organize monthly meetings at Taluka level. Send invites and agenda to the participants. Minute the meetings and action plan.
10. Follow up on actions / decisions taken in taluka Working Group meetings from line departments/implementing partners at taluka level.
11. Coordinate with the facilitators including LHWs, vaccinators, Nikah Khwans, UC Secretary / Clerk through their line department and ensure close coordination between them for effective and efficient implementation of assignments.
12. Monitor and provide support to the Institution responsible for community mobilisation and communication activities to promote birth registration.
13. To put all out efforts for achieving the targets set at taluka level.
14. The reporting line for the PME Assistant shall be PC.
15. Any other task assigned by the PC.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
Can work on MS office
Experience: At least two years’ experience in development sector.
Local Government Sindh Office
