LumiMinds is looking for an experienced and ambitious Magento Developer looking to progress into a technical lead and build our development team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to influence the technology platform of a significant online business. You will be required to work directly with the marketing and operations team to clarify requirements for building and testing the new functional features on the existing website.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivering high-quality software
• Best practice development and deployment
• Live platform support, maintenance and monitoring
• Internal support and bug fixing for existing codebase
• Co-ordination of development resources
• Analysis of business requirements and translation into technical specifications
• SQL report creation for senior management
Knowledge and Experience:
Intermediate experience in Magento Development
• Good experience in MVC and object orientated PHP
• HTML & CSS incl. responsive techniques
• JavaScript frameworks incl. Prototype, jQuery, Qunit, angular, backbone, etc.
• LAMP or LEMP server administration incl. performance tuning
• A confident approach to best practice for Magneto and PHP development
• Research and documentation skills
• Integration with 3rd parties such as shipping providers, payment gateways and marketing/CRM systems
• Database design and maintenance skills in MySQL
• Scrum, Agile, TDD and CI
• Experience of onboarding, mentoring and team leading
• Exposure to high volume e-commerce and dealing with spikes in traffic
