The candidate will develop and supervise the area of information and cyber security at LUMS

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and implementation of University Security Policies
  • Mapping these policies to ISO 27001 ISMS and fill the GAP
  • Yearly report on compliance for ISMS
  • Working with IST teams to build and monitor security controls
  • Response to SoC reported incidents
  • In-house VA/PT exercise to strengthen the enterprise set of applications and infrastructure
  • Awareness workshops for the community
  • Hands-on training workshops for IST core areas e.g. web application development

      Knowledge: 

In depth knowledge of the following:

  • Information Security
  • Security Standards
  • Systems and Network Administration and Security

Travel:

May be required, depending on departmental objectives.

Work Schedule:

Business hours may extend into the evenings and weekends depending on workload. Flexibility & commitment is necessary.
