Position Purpose:  Responsible for overall communication and relationship development with alumni and potential donors

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify new avenues of fundraising;
  • Maximizing PR opportunities in relation to fundraising activities;
  • Enhancing communication and relationship development with donors;
  • Engaging alumni networks for fundraising;
  • Management and promotion of scholarship programmers for donors;
  • Development of promotional material to solicit scholarships, endowment funds, chair funds, etc
  • Structuring, planning and budgeting for fundraising unit;
  • Ensuring database of prospective donors engage them, cultivate the relation, solicit support and stewardship;
  • Managing the grant/scholarship application process and ensuring that reporting is tracked and meets donor expectations;
  • Preparation of annual income budget;
  • Monitoring and reporting financial progress during the year;
  • Planning and organizing networking events;
  • Keeping staff in other functions within the organization informed of fundraising activities;
  • Production of fundraising promotional materials/newsletters as required;
  • Enhancing communication and relationship development with alumni;
  • Relationship building with students to make them connected as alumni;
  • Planning and organizing networking events, responsible for resource mobilization for fundraising;
  • Making alumni networks self-sustaining;
  • Structuring, planning and budgeting for fundraising unit;
  • Development of promotional material to solicit scholarships, endowment funds, chair funds, etc;
  • Compiling database of prospective donors engage them, cultivate the relation, solicit support and stewardship;
  • Preparation of annual income budget;
  • Recording, monitoring and reporting financial progress during the year;
  • Managing the grant/scholarship application process and ensuring that reporting is tracked and meets donor’s expectations;
  • Processing direct mail responses, recording donations, acknowledging donations, answering queries and complaints;
  • Management and promotion of scholarship programmers for donors;
  • Identifying potential opportunities/new avenues to promote giving to LUMS;
  • Keeping staff in other functions within the organization informed of fundraising activities;
  • Production of fundraising promotional materials/newsletters as required.
  • Developing and managing website from fundraising viewpoint and ensure its potential as a fundraising tool is maximized
