Managing the overall operations of the dining centre, Manager Food & Beverages would be responsile for:

  • Purchase of food and stock in line with the budget and requirements.
  • Prepare annual budget for the Centre focusing on stock requirement and costs ensuring proper implementation of that budget. To keep track of the budget in connection with its careful utilization for the entire year
  • Make sure all the staff is trained on proper food preparation, proper kitchen safety techniques and understand health and hygiene standards.
  • Set daily and weekly menu and make sure all requirements are met to keep up with the schedule.
  • Set daily and weekly cleaning schedules for the kitchen and the dining area.
  • Hire, train and discipline employees and set work schedules. Maintain proper staff duty roaster and their leave planning.
  • Ensure there is no leakage in the purchasing of stock and identify better options.
  • Keep a check on food cost, waste and employee hours, doing their best to optimize value for the company and create the best dining experience possible for customers.
  • To maintain and raise the indents for all items to be used in PDC in close connection with the main store. The indents raised should be according to the allocated budget.
  • To monitor all activities taking place in dining Centre ensuring smooth running.
  • Keep a close liaison with the Facilities & Engineering department for the maintenance of all fixtures where necessary.
  • Any task assigned by the Head of Department relevant to the Food & Beverage.
  • Working with full commitment, loyalty and dedication to the institution.

Business hours often extend into the evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of workload and event schedules. Flexibility & commitment is a must
