Media Content Produer's role is essentially of a multi-dimensional camera professional, who can produce professional audio/video recordings, edit videos and add animation for the Continuing Education Studies Centre's (CES) events, classes and ceremonies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce photographic and video content for social media platforms of CES.
  • Record clips for promotional and documentary purposes i.e. interviews, testimonials etc. for online and offline use.
  • Professional photography: Events, evening classes plus any other work requirements.
  • Assemble and set up equipment, including camera, tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads, headphones etc. Move cameras and other equipment around as needed.
  • Plan, prepare and rehearse scenes/shots. Creatively frame and capture action.
  • Write compelling scripts for short films and testimonials.
  • Be able to edit photo & video with professional software, including Adobe Platforms.
  • Take posed and candid shots, including promotional pictures.
  • Select and install screens and filters in camera to produce desired effects.
  • Be able to direct participants for improved photography.
  • Photo and video editing.
  • Find solutions to technical or other practical problems (for an outside broadcast, for example, the natural light conditions need to be taken into account when setting up shots).
  • Stay up to date with filming methods and equipment
  • Maintain a database of all photographs & videos of Centre for Continuing Education Studies (CES)
  • Assist in evening class duties as required
  • All other related tasks assigned by the Supervisor and HoD

  Skills: 

  • Sound theoretical, practical and technical knowledge of cameras and related equipment
  • Flexibility, creativity and patience
  • A keen eye for details and precision
  • Understanding of the effects of color, lighting angles and perspective depth
  • Strong planning skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physically fit and able to work and concentrate for long periods of time

Travel:

  • May be required for crucial off-campus events
