Position Purpose:The Program Manager PDI will work closely with the Director Training & Development to execute activities associated with the Professional Development Initiative/Centre at LUMS School of Education. The post holder will be required to work with the Director Training & Development to develop a learning and development strategy that supports the overall business goals of SOE and helps business growth. It includes providing timely, flexible and innovative learning solutions that are aligned to the Professional Development Initiative/Centre objectives and business targets as well as its vision, mission and values. Role requirements include:

  • Ability to diagnose learning needs, identify appropriate solutions and develop strategic plans.
  • Coordinate a wide range of training programmes.
  • Be skilled in instructional design, development, delivery/implementation of training programmes.
  • Be able to deliver outputs such as e-learning and instructor led solutions, assessments, facilitator guides, train the trainer materials and outlines/story boards.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational objectives, policies and manage learning schedules/calendar for functional efficiency
  • Facilitation skills are mandatory

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the Professional Development Initiative/Centre as assigned by Director Training & Management.
  • Work closely with Director Training & Development to employ training needs analyses, identify learning solutions, implement learning methods and evaluate learning programmes.
  • Conduct training needs analyses in order to provide comprehensive training solutions through the Professional Development Initiative/Centre
  • Design & develop learning content/interventions that are aligned to agreed and set learning objectives.
  • Work closely with the Director Training & Development to direct training evaluation and monitor the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of training programmes as agreed with clients.
  • Develop assessment instruments and assess learner performance against agreed learning objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and familiarity with the ADDIE model in training.
  • Apply knowledge of blended learning to development of training curriculum & materials
  • Maintain required communications and project documentation related to Professional Development Initiative/Centre work.
  • Organise and schedule training calendars
  • Generate regular reports and communicate to the Director Training & Development.
  • Collate data, organize it and manage data entry in learning management systems as required.
  • Represent internal/external meetings and workshops when authorized by Director Training & Development.
