Job Overview
As a Kafka Platform Developer, you will participate in all aspects of the enterprise messaging platform development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients, taking direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.
This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology.
These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.
Responsibilities
•Works closely with Tech Leads and developers of various teams to assess existing problems and code solutions
• Develops designs and write code to satisfy user story requirements in an Angile environment
• Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes
• Participates in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
• Executes on plan by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization
• Surveys developers and technical members of the organization to understand their main pain points in the coding and development process
• Collaborates with the rest of platform engineer/ developers team to deliver a consistent and holistic solution to the organization
Qualifications
Senior Java developer with strong experience in the following:
• Apache Kafka stream processing - 3years
• Java Development --5 years
• REST API -- 2 Years
• Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
• Strong emphasis on code quality, unit testing, system testing, integration testing
• Deep knowledge in advanced concepts like transaction management, memory management, CI/CD process, messaging, big data stack Knowledge of
• Apache Spark cluster processing
• Hadoop distributed processing
