Magdynamics is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join our project management team in our Islamabad/Rawalpindi location. The Junior Business Analyst role will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of new products and features by creating timeframes and plans, working with internal business and IT groups.
Responsibilities & Duties
The candidate will be working on technical and/or business projects and application enhancements. Below are the activities this person will be performing:
- Identify solutions to complex business problems by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and systems requirements to enhance operational performance.
- Take direction from the senior Associate and work with the development team to manage day-to-day activities, escalations, etc.
- Interact with product owners/clients, other business analysts, software developers and testers in the group.
- Partner closely with the business and IT to work through the phases of systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Write user stories and epics and ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear.
- Drive the vision and delivery of innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on direction of products.
- Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders.
- Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offering.
- Develop UAT test cases, create actual test cases, execute the test, review of actual vs. expected results, communicate and resolve issues and documenting results.
- Assist with product backlog grooming and management.
- Perform hands-on work, including analysis, design, testing, change management, as needed by the team.
- Work with users, team members, and other members of the business to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of product.
- Write business requirements, redesign applicationsprocesses, create mockups, and analyze user data.
- Utilizing various technologies which may include (but are not limited to) Jira, Excel, SQL, Visio, SQL Server, PowerBI
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies
- Assist with application bug fixes (assess, fix, deploy)
- Assist with workflow tool for business process changes
EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of business analysis or other relevant experience
- Experience writing user stories and business requirements
- Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
- Interpersonal skills with keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences
- Accredited bachelor’s degree In business or Computer Science( Preferred)
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle preferred and Agile methodology a plus.
- Experience with business analysis, requirements, software testing or proficiency tools (e.g., automated testing tools, compare tools, robotics, data visualization) a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC skills (MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Project, and Outlook, dataflow, database and reporting, testing, project management, SQL, data processing/manipulation
