The role is long term, full-time, 100% remote, part of a distributed team of professionals and will allow one to take high impact architectural decisions that will influence the experience of thousands of end-users.
Managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as building new functionalities like multitenancy. Primary focus will be the development server-side logic for an existing application.
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills
- Senior-level experience with Symfony
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Create and integrate new back-end features on an existing php/symfony application
- Work on the current Vue.js front-end application
Skills And Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of PHP and Symfony web framework
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with front-end frameworks, ideally Vue.js
- Knowledge of AWS
- Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git5+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or master's degree; or a Ph.D. with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience
- Experience working remotely with US teams
